Reslock In the Right Seat
Will Failla is back for Day 1b, taking another shot after his brief appearance at the end of Day 1a failed to work out for him. He's sounding like he'd prefer to have drawn a different seat.
Sitting to the right of Yung Hwang, Failla watched him raise a hand to 325, something Hwang has been doing fairly frequently. "I'm supposed to be sitting on your left," cracked Failla to Hwang. "It would be much better."
Hwang smiled in response, playing out the hand with his earbuds in and losing a small pot to the button. Then came another hand, and another raise to 325 from Hwang. This time Chris Reslock — sitting in the seat Failla would prefer on Hwang's left — made the call.
The flop came and Hwang checked. Reslock bet 500, and Hwang responded by check-raising to 1,250. Reslock quickly called. The turn was the , and this time Hwang pushed out two orange chips for a bet of 2,000. Reslock again called without much hesitation.
The river was the , and Hwang tapped the table to check. Reslock sat up and exhaled. "That wasn't my card," he said with a smile as he checked behind, showing his for a flush. But then Hwang mucked his cards, and Reslock grinned, somewhat relieved his flush was still best.
"It was your card," cracked Failla to Reslock. After slipping early, Reslock has chipped back up around the starting stack.
