Taylor Calls Heimiller

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jonathan Taylor made the right decision despite what he said outloud.
Jonathan Taylor made the right decision despite what he said outloud.

Jonathan Taylor picked up a 700,000 chip pot when he talked himself to calling a huge river bet.

We missed the street-by-street action while writing up the previous hand. The board was {10-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {J-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} with over 300,000 in the pot already. Heimiller bet 175,000 on the river and Taylor commented out loud that he thought Heimiller was super strong.

Taylor talked himself in to calling and Heimiller just said, "I was on a draw." Taylor tabled {Q-Diamonds} {9-Spades} and took the sizable pot.

Long Staredown Without a Flop

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jonathan Taylor opened for 48,000 and Chad Eveslage re-raised to 120,000 from the small blind. Taylor played back and made it 200,000 to see a flop.

Eveslage took a moment and moved all in. Taylor sat back in his seat, asked the dealer to pull in the 200,000 and went deep into the tank. After several tense moments of looking at each other Taylor folded and Eveslage picked up a decent pot without a flop.

Heimiller Flexing His Muscle

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Chad Eveslage opened for 48,000 and Dan Heimiller raised to 120,000 on the button. The blinds released and Eveslage re-raised to 265,000.

Heimiller leaned over to eyeball Eveslage's stack and then moved all in. Eveslage mucked his cards and shook his head.
