Shadrach Tercy Captured 2nd Gold Ring with Event #5: $400 NLH 6-Handed Victory
The $1,700 Main Event is just one of a dozen gold ring events taking place at the Harrahs Cherokee stop. For over a week, players have been competing for WSOP Circuit hardware and big chunks of prize money.
In Event #5: $400 No-Limit Holdem 6-Handed, 476 entrants created a $157,080 prize pool. Almost a year to the date after he won his first gold ring, 32-year-old web developer Shadrach Tercy of Jonesboro, Georgia claimed his second along with a $31,594 first-place prize.
He began the final table as the chip lead and never lost it even in the one-hour heads-up battle against David Burke.
It just feels amazing, I mean this is actually like a year to the date from winning my first ring. Tercy said. I travel around to some stops, I mostly do the stops that are closer to me. I live in Atlanta, so I do Cherokee since its only a two-hour drive for me, and I do some Florida stops, Seminole and now they have added a Tampa stop so I plan to play that.
