Tobias Peters will be defending his title in Rotterdam

Welcome to the first day of the PokerNews coverage of the World Series of Poker International Circuit in Holland Casino Rotterdam. The action will kick off at 2 p.m. local time with Day 1a of the 1,100 Main Event which features a fantastic guaranteed prize pool of 250,000.

Day 1a is the first of three starting flights with Day 1c as a turbo edition. The winner of the Main Event will not only win a beautiful WSOP Circuit Ring and money but that person will also lay claim to a $10,000 seat for the WSOP Global Casino Championship.

This is the third time that the stunning location plays host to the WSOPC, in 2017 it was Eyal Bensimhon who defeated the 273-strong field and won 94,349 for being victorious. Last year it was the 2018 GPI National Player of the Year, Tobias Peters who took down the title by defeating Bart Beens heads-up for 67,766 when the tournament attracted 181 entries. Both those Main Events featured a buy-in of 1,650 which has been reduced to 1,100 this year.

This isn't the first ring event in Rotterdam, three rings have already been handed out to Wim Neys, Jurjan Wadman, and Danny Koehoorn in the PSKO 8-Max, Starter Event, and the Bounty Turbo respectively.

When the players cough up the 1,100 buy-in for the Main Event, they will get 30,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels. Day 1 has 12 levels scheduled with a 15-minute break after every three levels. A 60-minute dinner break has been planned after the sixth level of play. Registration will remain open until the end of Level 8 and unlimited reentries are allowed during those eight levels.

If players fail to make it through Day 1a, Day 1b will take place on Tuesday, November 19 at 2 p.m. local time with Day 1c at 9 p.m. For both Day 1a and Day 1b, theres only space for 150 players at a time and Day 1c has allocated 50 seats at a time for those players.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be there from the start till finish so make sure to follow along with the updates!
