Berinov Wins With the Higher Kicker

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Erik de Jong called on the button and Andrei Berinov opted to check. The flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts}, Berinov bet 85,000 and De Jong called. The turn brought them the {a-Hearts}, Berinov slowed down and checked, De Jong took over the initiative and led out for 175,000 which was enough to pick up the pot.

Berinov raised to 160,000 from the button and De Jong went along to see the {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} on the flop. De Jong check-raised the 160,000 continuation-bet of Berinov to 375,000. Berinov called quite quickly. The turn brought them the {j-Spades}, De Jong bet 575,000 and Berinov called. The river completed the board with the {3-Hearts}. De Jong barreled a bet of 750,000 over the line and Berinov called. De Jong tabled {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for top pair but Berinov held {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the same pair of kings but with the ace-kicker to scoop the pot.
