McVay Leaves Garcia Short with Aces

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Cord Garcia opened to 6,500 from the cutoff and Bryce McVay three-bet to 15,000 on the button. Garcia called and the dealer spread out {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} on the flop.

Both players checked to the {2-Hearts} turn card and Garcia checked again to McVay who elected to bet 12,000. Garcia called, the {j-Spades} landed on the river and action checked to McVay who bet 30,000.

Garcia counted out the chips and thought for several minutes. Ultimately he called and McVay tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a pair of aces.
Garcia mucked and McVay scooped in the pot, leaving Garcia short.

Garcia took an exit just hand later.

Garcia Sucks Out on Schwartz

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz

Cord Garcia opened and Jack Schwartz moved all in for his remaining chips. Garcia called and the two tabled their hands with Schwartz at risk of elimination.

Jake Schwartz: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Cord Garcia: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop rolled out {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Schwartz was still way ahead with his ten kicker. An unfortunate {9-Clubs} peeled off on the turn, giving Garcia the lead with his newly acquired two pair.

The {2-Clubs} completed the board and Garcia took down the pot with his two pair, eliminating Schwartz from the tournament.
