Pickett Wins with Ace-high

Michael Pickett opened with a 35,000 pre-flop raise and David Peters made the call from the small blind. Peters and Pickett checked the {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board down to the river, until Peters took a 25,000 stab at the pot on the end. Pickett made the call and Peters tabled nothing but king-high. Pickett then turned over ace-high to collect the miniature pot.

Pickett Takes a Pot from Bedoya

On a board showing {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Kenny Bedoya opened with a 70,000 bet and Michael Pickett was the lone caller. The turn brought the {Q-Spades} and Bedoya fired again, this time sliding 150,000 into the middle; Pickett made the call.

The last card off the deck was the {5-Clubs}, which caused Bedoya to put on the brakes, as he passed the first action to Pickett, who bet 200,000. Bedoya took one last look at his cards before tossing them into the muck, conceding the hand to Pickett, who now has right around 1 million in chips.

Sabat on the Rise

Ed Sabat just doubled through David Peters. The two players saw an unraised pot from of the blinds. The flop brought {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Sabat check-called a 20,000 bet from Peters. After the {5-Spades} on the turn, Sabat checked, and after Peters bet 30,000, Sabat raised to 90,000; Peters made the call.

Sabat pushed all in on the {4-Diamonds} river and was called by Peters, who showed 10-5 for a full house. Sabat flipped up K-6 for the higher boat, and a much-needed double up to 420,000.

Sabat Changing Gears

Former chip-leader turned bottom feeder Edward Sabat has opened with an all-in shove on each of the last two hands, successfully taking down the blinds and antes.

Mickey Calls a Peters Bluff

Mickey Pickett raised to 36,000 on the button and David Peters called out of the big blind. Both players checked a flop of {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Peters check-called Pickett's 50,000-chip bet on the {J-Clubs} turn. Peters fired out 150,000 when the river brought the {7-Diamonds} and Pickett called, showing {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Peters flipped up {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a busted draw. Pickett increases his stack to 840,000 while Peters dips to 980,000.

Pickett Chipping Up

Michael "Mickey" Pickett just took down a nice-sized pot against Kenny Bedoya in a hand that began with a 46,000 pre-flop raise from Bedoya. Pickett then kicked it up to a total of 130,000 and Bedoya made the call.

The flop came {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades} and both players checked. The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and once again, both players opted to see another free card, which was the {8-Clubs}. Bedoya passed the first action to Pickett who fired a 100,000 bullet on the river, prompting Bedoya to surrender the hand.

Family Pot

In a rare family pot at today's final table, David Peters opened with a 40,000 pre-flop raise and all three of his remaining opponents called.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} and the action checked around to Peters who led out with a 100,000 bet. Action then fell to Kenny Bedoya who came over the top with an all-in re-raise and Peters knuckled the table saying, "Good bet," before surrendering the hand.
