In Triple Draw, Sometimes a Pair Wins
With the action folded around to the small blind, Michael DeMichele raised, Tom Dwan three-bet from the big blind and DeMichele called. DeMichele drew two and Dwan drew one. DeMichele checked, Dwan bet and DeMichele called.
On the second draw each player took one. DeMichele checked, Dwan bet (leaving himself only 15,000 behind) and DeMichele called.
On the third draw each player took one. DeMichele checked and with a sly smile and his signature roll-of-the-eyes, Dwan checked behind.
Dwan rolled over 6-4-3-3-2 for a pair of threes. DeMichele mucked, saying he had a pair of sixes. Dwan raked in the pot and increased his stack to 220,000. DeMichele was left with 250,000.
