Jason Mercier Moves On

Jason Mercier - Advances
Jason Mercier - Advances
Jesper Petersen must have had somewhere else to be. He showed up late for his match with Jason Mercier, and it's all over now. With more than 20 big blinds left, Petersen moved all in holding {K-Hearts} {7-Clubs}. Jason Mercier called very quickly, tabling {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}.

Right in the door came the {K-Clubs}, filling out a flop of {Q-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {K-Clubs}. Mercier sunk back in his chair with a half-defeated look on his face. "Jack," called Mercier, and his wish was granted as Troy, the dealer, spiked the {J-Clubs} on the turn. The {8-Clubs} filled out the board, and Jason Mercier has knocked off Petersen to move on to the third round.

He waited until "Thanks, Troy," said Mercier with a big smile. We'll see him back here tomorrow.
