Counter by Teach

Ken Aldridge raised from the button to 135,000 and Carman Cavella called before we saw a {2-Spades} {8-Hearts} {9-Clubs} flop. Cavella check called a 150,000 but folded to a 250,000 turn bet when the {J-Hearts} fell.

Cavella Fights Back

Score one pot for Carman Cavella. After Ken Aldridge opened for 160,000, Cavella reraised from the big blind to 450,000. Aldridge called to a flop of {5-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {6-Clubs} then snap-mucked to Cavella's bet of 700,000.

Two for "Teach"

Ken "Teach" Aldridge has taken over the chip lead by winning his second pot in a row. He limped in, then called a raise to 210,000 by Carman Cavella. Both players checked the {Q-Spades} {9-Clubs} {A-Spades} flop. On the turn, Aldridge fired 200,000 after Cavella checked. Cavella called that bet, but not the 600,000 that Aldridge put up for grabs after the river fell {5-Diamonds}.

First Hand Past The Flop

In a limped pot we saw a {8-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {4-Diamonds}. Ken Aldridge bet out for 100,000 and was called. On the {3-Clubs} turn Aldridge check called a 200,000 bet from Cavella before we saw a {A-Diamonds} river. Aldridge went back to betting out, for a total of 300,000 and took the pot as Cavella folded.

Ken Aldridge - 2,960,000

Peter Gould Eliminated in 3rd Place ($170,953)

'Teach' on left, Gould on right
'Teach' on left, Gould on right
Peter Gould raised to 120,000 from the button and found a caller from Ken Aldridge in the BB, before we went to a {7-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {2-Clubs} flop. Aldridge checked to face a 385,000 all in bet from Gould. Aldridge tanked for a long while then made a great call with {A-?} {10-?} to Gould's {K-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}.

The {A-Spades} on the turn ended the hand, eliminated Gould and sent us to heads-up play.

Another Curious Hand

There has been no shortage of strange betting lines at this final table. Add this one to the books.

Ken Aldridge opened with a minimum-raise to 100,000. He was called by Peter Gould before Carman Cavella reraised to 250,000. Aldridge folded, but Gould called.

The flop was all black cards, {K-Spades} {2-Clubs} {5-Spades}. Gould checked, then folded to Cavella's 200,000-chip bet into the 600,000-chip pot.

Ducks Not So Mighty

Carman Cavella raised it to 125,000 from the SB and Ken Aldridge called from the BB. No surprises that it was checked all the way down and Cavella's {Q-?} {3-?} was good to beat Aldridge's {2-?} {2-?} on a {7-Spades} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} board.
