Gordon From Small to Tall

Phil Gordon
Phil Gordon

Joe Reitman was really hoping that Phil Gordon would be eliminated, so that Gordon would take over the microphone and the MC duties. It wasn't looking good for Gordon, all in with {k-Clubs}{2-Spades} against pocket sevens and {a-Spades}{10-Spades}. But a king on the flop wound up tripling Gordon to 15,000, and then a few hands later he doubled all in pre-flop with {10-Spades}{j-Spades} against {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} by flopping trip 10s.

Disappointment on Table 52

Italian star Francesca Fioretti was recently knocked out of the tournament by Carter Phillips, much to David Alan Grier's disappointment.

"The most beautiful woman in the world was there," Grier said to the player who replace Fioretti. "Smell that chair! I didn't even want to be here anymore." Grier then moved all in. His {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} wound up called in two spots, by pocket nines and pocket sixes.

Grier put his hands over his eyes so as not to watch the board roll out {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{a-Spades}. "Am I out?" he asked.

"You're out," the dealer replied. Perhaps Grier can drown his sorrows with the other busted players (like Fioretti).

Ciao Francesca

The stunningly gorgeous Francesca Fioretti
The stunningly gorgeous Francesca Fioretti

Francesca Fioretti moved all in with the board reading {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Carter Phillips made the call.

Fioretti: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Phillips: {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The river blanked out with the {Q-Spades} as we said ciao to Fioretti as Phillips climbed to 47,000 in chips.

David Alan Grier grabbed the microphone from Joe Reitman and then announced, "Get this woman some chips! She's too beautiful to lose!"

"Chip runner please!" bellowed Bill Reynolds as Fioretti waved goodbye to her table before departing the tournament area.

Less Than Perfect

Sara Rue
Sara Rue

Sara Rue has unfortunately been eliminated.

She found herself all in holding {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} against {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, but an ace on the turn was enough to send the Less Than Perfect star to the rail.

Cheadle Not Impressed by Reitman's Beyonce Impression

Last night at the World Series of BBQ, Joe Reitman sang Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies" dressed in a leotard. Annie Duke tried to show a video clip of the performance to Don Cheadle.

"I don't want to see that," said Cheadle. "He's not Beyonce!"

Duke put the clip (on her phone) in front of Cheadle anyway. Cheadle glanced at it for a few seconds, then said, "Ok, that's enough. I want my life back."

Damon Soaring

Matt Damon raised the button and his opponent in the small blind moved all in.

Damon made the call with his {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to be up against {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The board rolled out {Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to see Damon rake in the pot and move to 51,000 in chips.

"Did I win?" asked Damon's opponent.

"No. But you had the better hand when the money went in." Damon added.

Duke Cut Down

Co-host Annie Duke got her whole stack in with pocket eights, but wound up massively out-flopped by {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} when the flop came all diamonds. Duke never improved. The stacks were counted down, leaving Duke with a single purple (T500) chip. She shrugged and kept her face buried in her phone. "It's just like at home," said Joe Reitman, now on the mic. "I can't get her to pay attention to me." Duke was out the next hand.

Ace Delivered for Grier

"He's dressed like a gentleman [pointing to Carter Phillips] and you're dressed all colorful!" stated David Alan Grier while talking to Bill Reynolds.

Grier was all in for his big blind as Reynolds gave him action from the button.

Grier: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Reynolds: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

"Gimme that ace!" screamed Grier.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} to see Grier double through and remain in the tournament.
