Hand #78: Dwan Gets Value

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

David Randall has the button in Seat 8.

He makes it 150,000 to skate, and Tom Dwan calls from the big blind after shooting a bit of a sideways look at his neighbor.

The flop comes {8-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, and Dwan taps the table once. Randall cuts out 225,000 and puts them out in front of the invisible betting line, and he has to endure a long, unblinking stare from Dwan. "Durrrr" finally glances down at his chips and elects to make the call.

Turn: {Q-Diamonds}

That draws another Dwan check and Randall checks behind this time.

The river comes the {A-Spades}, and Dwan slowly stacks out betting chips. He takes several long minutes to settle on 385,000. After another minute or so, Randall makes the call.

Dwan shows up {Q-Spades} {10-Spades}, and that's good. Randall's cards go into the muck, Jon Aguiar yells, "Oh my goodness!" from the bleachers, and Dwan stacks the pot.

He's up to 2.43 million.
