Close Call for Studer
Allyn Marshall: /
Daniel Studer: /
We caught up with the hand at showdown. Allyn Marshall, who had only around 2,000 chips behind, announced, "A low and aces," and turned over his cards. Daniel Studer turned his up cards face down but kept his hand on them as he studied Marshall's holding.
"Holy s***, I scoop," said Marshall, but Studer was still eyeing up his cards.
"Hang on, do you have two pair? I have two pair," said Studer and turned over jacks and deuces. "I thought you said aces up."
"You teased me!" said Marshall as they duly chopped it up - Marshall was at 15,000 after that, Studer at 60,000.
Chuckled tablemate Larry Wright as the chopping of the pot was executed, "Where I come from, it's hard to make a low with aces up."
