Montgomery Climbs Out of the Basement

Scott Montgomery has pushed all in four times so far today but has not been looked up and has been stuck in the basement for the last hour. It caught our attention when he opted to simply raise from the cutoff, making it 65,000 to go. He got called by Adam Richardson on the button and by Daniel Fuhs in the small blind.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Fuhs checked to Montgomery who placed a bet of 115,000. Richardson called and Fuhs got out of the way.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Montgomery check-called a bet of 125,000 from Richardson. Both players checked the {9-Hearts} river.

Montgomery tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Richardson mucked. With the chips Montgomery has picked up he is up to about 790,000.

The river brought a {3-Hearts} to the table and both players checked again. Carlson tabled {k-}{j-Spades} and Richardson showed a pair of nines. Nines good and Richardson took the pot.

Fuhs Wins First Heavily Contested Pot

Timothy Beeman raised to 57,000 from middle position and got called by Daniel Fuhs in the cutoff. On a flop of {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}, Beeman bet 83,000 with Fuhs making the call. Beeman bet once again on the {3-Spades} turn, this time for 160,000. Once more, Fuhs called.

The river came {8-Diamonds} and Beeman checked to Fuhs, who bet 250,000 into the pot with Beeman calling.

Fuhs tabled {a-}{8-} for trip eights, while Beeman showed {8-Clubs}{10-} for trips as well. Fuhs had Beeman out-kicked and scooped the pot.
