Stud Killing Brown
Stud
Back-to-back hands of stud ended badly for Chad Brown, pushing his stack down to less than 100,000 chips.
Hand No. 1
Brown: X-X / / X
Hahn: X-X / / X
Albert Hahn completed third street and was called only by Brown. Hahn bet the lead on fourth street, then had to call when Brown picked up the lead and bet it on fifth street. Brown slowed down by sixth street, checking and then calling a bet. Both players checked seventh street, where Hahn produced as his hole cards for two pairs, aces and tens. It was the winner.
Hand No. 2
Brown: X-X / / X
Baker: X-X / / X
The very next hand, David Baker completed third street and was called by Brown and by Dan Makowsky. Makowsky exited to Brown's fourth street bet. Baker called to fifth street, where he made open sixes. He bet, then called Brown's raise.
Baker checked and called sixth street, then checked and raised the river. That was very bad news for Brown, who made a crying call.
"I was rolled up," said Baker. he opened for tens full of sixes. Brown flashed the and mucked.
