Brown Counterfeited

Team PokerStars Pro Chad Brown
Team PokerStars Pro Chad Brown

The day of Chad Brown is stuck in second gear as the Team PokerStars Pro just can't seem to get things moving in the right direction today. After being short early today, it looked like Brown was starting to get himself back into this event but he's just taken another hit against Phil Ivey.

With about 17,000 in the pot on a board of {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} Brown fired 7,000 on the river and Ivey made the call. Brown shook his head and revealed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} as his pair had been counterfeited by the two pair on board. That can happen when you're up against Phil Ivey as he showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} to take it with his ace kicker.

Ivey is at 130,000 with Brown down to 14,000.
