Mark Babekov raised to 84,000, and from the small blind, Steve Chanthabouasy potted. Babekov moved all in for not much more, and Chanthabouasy called to get to showdown.

It was pretty much over for Babekov after the

on the turn upgraded him to a boat, and Babekov was drawing dead. The meaningless river fell the 
, and Babekov made his exit in fourth place. Babekov finished third in a Venetian Deep Stack for $18,000 last week, but this is his first WSOP cash.
James Dempsey has been involved in nearly all of the hands that went to a flop this level. He raised to 40,000, and Mark Babekov called. Both blinds folded, and the flop came out 
. Dempsey bet out 72,000, and Babekov potted for a chunk of his stack. Unintimidated, Dempsey repotted, enough to put Babekov all in. He mucked unhappily, leaving himself with around 260,000.
Just after doubling Mark Babekov, James Dempsey raised to 40,000. JJ Liu called from the big blind. The flop fell 
, and Liu checked. Dempsey bet 62,000, and Liu slid out her whole stack. Dempsey had to call another 170,000 to put Liu at risk, but he opted to fold instead. Her mother, on the rail overlooking the final table, stood up to clap for her daughter.
James Dempsey raised to 60,000 from the small blind, and big blind Mark Babekov bet the pot. Dempsey shoved to put Babekov all in, and he called for a total of 333,000. It was a race between Dempsey's 
and Babekov's

flop gave Babekov a straight draw, and the 
on the turn added a flush draw to it. And on cue, the 
appeared on the turn to give Babekov both a straight and a flush for the double up. He has 666,000 now, dropping Dempsey to 1.17 million.
JJ Liu raised to 62,000 from the small blind, and Steve Chanthabouasy called from the big. Both players checked the

turn. Finally, after the on the river, Liu had enough checking. She bet 60,000 and took the pot.

Scott Haraden raised to 50,000 under the gun, and when it folded to James Dempsey, he bumped it up to 130,000. Haraden called to see the 
flop, then moved all in for his last 90,000. Dempsey called with

Action folded to Armen Kara in the small blind, and he raised to 70,000, leaving himself less than 80,000 behind. Mark Babekov called from the big blind to see the flop. Kara swiftly moved all in, and Babekov decided to call. With 
for bottom pair, Kara was ahead of Babekov's . Kara was still in good shape after the on the turn, but the on the river was the death blow for the short stack.
