Hand #56: Candio Shows a Bluff
Michael Mizrachi has the button in Seat 5.
Jason Senti tries a raise again, making it 1,350,000 to go. The Grinder is there to greet him again, this time calling in position. Filippo Candio also calls from the big blind for a three-way pot.
The flop comes all wheel cards, . Candio, the first player to act, checks to Senti. Senti and Mizrachi quickly check behind in turn.
The turn is a second heart, . Candio flings 2,900,000 into the middle of the table, about two-thirds of the pot. Senti folds his cards without much hesitation. Mizrachi, on the other hand, glances in Candio's direction a few times. After about a minute they start talking to each other. Unfortunately we can't hear the conversation. Whatever passes between them may have helped Grinder make up his mind. He calls.
The river draws a murmur from the theater. Candio fires again, pushing out a bet of 4,450,000. While Grinder thinks, the audience entertains itself with repeated "shhhhhhhhh"s hissing out from around the theater until Effel kills it all with an, "Ok guys. That's enough. Thank you."
After a minute Grinder folds. Candio picks both of his cards up off of the table, holds them over his head (one in each hand) and then throws them down on the table -- , a busted flush draw. He drags in a nice pot.
