Bjorin and Sarkeshik Race for their Tournament Lives
No Limit Hold'em:
Chris Bjorin opened for 1,700 from middle position and received a call from Scott Seiver in the cutoff. Ali Sarkeshik then put in a three-bet from the button to 4,700 and action was back on Bjorin. He asked for a count, discovering that Sarkeshik had him covered by about 3,000, and then tanked for a solid minute before shrugging and committing his stack of 19,350. Seiver got out of the way and Sarkeshik made the call.
Showdown
Sarkeshik:
Bjorin:
It was a classic race that would determine the fate of both men. Sarkeshik was ahead and looking to avoid an ace and king, but that didn't happen on the flop. Suddenly he was the one looking to hit, but it didn't happen as the appeared on the turn followed by the on the river.
Sarkeshik was left with 3,000 after the hand, but that disappeared a few hands later.
