Lew Top Dog in Bronze

A recent walk through of the bronze section lead to the discovery of Randy Lew. Not only did we find Mr. Lew, but we also found around 8,000 sitting in front of him. While we were counting chips we noticed him kind of get involved in an interesting hand.

The under the gun player made it 150 to see a flop, and action folded around to Lew on the button. Lew made the call, as did the small and big blind. Four players saw the {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop. The small blind immediately moved all in and the big blind went deep into the tank. The big blind was obviously befuddled and wanted to make the call, in the end though he threw it away. The under the gun player called, and Lew folded.

Under The Gun: {Q-}{Q-}
Small Blind: {9-}{9-}

The big blind player immediately made it clear he folded {K-}{j-} and was super relieved both players had him beat. The dealer then put out the {k-} on the turn. The big blind player then said "would have been dangerous if I saw that!". The dealer then spread the {J-} for the river and the big blind threw his fist down on the felt in frustration.

A few tables over sits recent bracelet winner Joey Wiessman who happened to be getting involved in a pot. The flop read {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} and three people checked to Weissman who sat on the button. Weissman opted to bet out 225. A player in early position made the call while the rest folded.

The {6-Hearts} on the turn saw another check from the early position player and a bet of 350 from Weissman. A call was made and the dealer released the {5-Spades} for the river. Both players checked and the early position player showed {J-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks. This was seemingly good enough to take the hand as Weissman mucked.
