Jake Balsiger had the button. He raised to 1.6 million. Jesse Sylvia called from the big blind, and the flop came down {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Sylvia was first and bet 2.1 million. Balsiger took his time, then made the call.

On the turn, the {4-Diamonds} fell. After Sylvia checked, Balsiger bet 4.5 million. Sylvia folded, and Balsiger won the pot.

Jesse Sylvia started the hand with the button, and opened to 1.6 million. Greg Merson defended his big blind, and the flop was {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {5-Hearts}, and both players checked again.

The {2-Clubs} completed the board, Merson led out for 2.9 million, and Sylvia went into the tank. After a few minutes, he rested his cheek in his right hand and began talking to Merson. Merson didn't answer. Sylvia then turned his attention to the board, and made the call.

Merson turned over {k-Hearts}{8-Spades} for the second nuts, and Sylvia mucked his hand.

Hand #204: First Three-Way Pot Goes To Sylvia

Greg Merson started this hand with the button and raised to 1.6 million. Jesse Sylvia called from the small blind, and Jake Balsiger called from the big blind to create the first three-handed flop of three-handed play.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, and action checked to Merson. He was the preflop raiser and fired 2.6 million as his cotinuation bet. Sylvia raised to 6.3 million, and Balsiger folded. Play fell back on Merson, but he folded, and Sylvia won the pot.
