Good Start for Bakes, Nguyen Drops Some

We just missed a big hand between David "Bakes" Baker and Men Nguyen in which the young pro increased his stack significantly.

Baker had his breakthrough year in 2010 when he won the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw tournament for just under $300,000 and managed to reach the final table in the $50,000 Players Championship banking another $272,275. Men Nguyen, who is better known as The Master, also had his biggest WSOP results in 2010. He won the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship and finished second in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em tournament for $412,746. In total Nguyen has seven WSOP bracelets to his name.

Just a couple of hands later there was multi way action again at this table with Baker and Nguyen involved in the pot. The flop read {9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Baker checked, the player to his left bet 1,200. Nguyen was sitting to his left and he raised to 2,400 and two other players folded back to player who bet the flop. The dealer was about to put out the turn when Nguyen reminded him he had put in a raise. The call was made nevertheless and we got to the turn.

The turn was the {3-Spades}, Nguyen bet and his opponent called. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked. Nguyen's opponent showed {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair and Nguyen flashed his {A-}{K-}{10-}{5-} before mucking his cards.

Allen Bari is also seated at this table and he is currently hovering around 23,000 chips.
