Last Year's Champ Hits the Rail

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Nick Jivkov, the reigning champion of this event, has been eliminated from play.

Jivkov was short on chips all day and finally got his last roughly 4,000 in against Joseph Liberta. Jivkov held {Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and was racing with Liberta's {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Jivkov found hope when he paired on the {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} flop but was ousted just as quickly as the {4-Diamonds} hit the turn and gave Liberta a set of fours. The {8-Clubs} finished off the board and Jivkov was sent to the rail.
