Tepen Toppled Two from Money

Level 14 : 500/2,000, 500 ante
Ryan Tepen
Ryan Tepen

After continuously folding, Ryan Tepen was all in for his final 500 as an ante. Adam Friedman completed and Gary Benson made the call before folding to a bet on fifth after both players checked fourth.

Tepen: {X-}{X-} / {7-Clubs}{A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Friedman: {X-}{X-} / {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Benson: {X-}{X-} / {10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Clubs} (folded on fifth)

Tepen tabled his {J-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} in the hole to be trailing Friedman's {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a pair.

Friedman caught a {K-Diamonds} to Tepen's {K-Clubs} and going into seventh Friedman failed to improve as he found the {6-Spades}. Tepen began squeezing out his final card needing an ace, king or jack to stay alive, but unfortunately he could only find the {4-Spades} to end his tournament in 34th place; just two shy from the money.
