Mark "Pegasus" Smith has around 20,000 chips in his possession and is cruising here in Event #30.
Smith is extremely well-known on the WSOP Circuit where he has five outright victories, which means five WSOP Circuit rings. At the start of the 2013 WSOP, Smith cashed in the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Six-Handed tournament, finishing 41st for a $5,599. Last week, Smith came second in one of the $365 buy-in Carnivale of Poker events here at the Rio, a result that netted him $12,266.
Now he is on course for yet another cash here in this tournament.

The tournament appears to have lost two big guns in the shape of Manig Loeser and Chris Moneymaker. Neither are anywhere to be seen in the vast tournament area.
We were just about to write about how it has been 10 years since Moneymaker's WSOP Main Event win single handedly changed the online poker world, but we'll save that for another day and another tournament!

Table Gold #16 is the home to two talented players who are seated directly next to each other and have 100,000 chips between them.
In Seat 5 is Scott OReilly, a UK-based pro who has over $1,100,000 in online tournament winnings and almost $330,000 in live tournament winnings, a large percentage of which have come from the WSOP.
In Seat 6 is Alex Bolotin who is the all-time winningest player from Belarus with just shy of $2,200,000 in live tournament winnings. Bolotin already has two cashes at the 2013 WSOP and will be hoping to make it three by the time this tournament ends.
In 2007, Bolotin came agonisingly close to winning a bracelet when he finished second to William Edler in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em event. Can he finally win a bracelet here in 2013?
