Hands #45-46: Fernandez Doubles

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #45: Ted Gillis raised to 80,000 from the cutoff and Jacobo Fernandez called on the button. The flop came {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and Gillis continued for 155,000. Fernandez made the call and the dealer delivered the {2-Diamonds}. Gillis checked and Fernandez pushed all in for for 435,000, which was good enough to win the pot.

Hand #46: Gillis raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Jacobo Fernandez called from the cutoff. Mustapha Kanit also called in the big blind and the flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Kanit checked and Gillis bet 350,000. Fernandez pushed all in and Kanit got out of the way. Gillis made the call and flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} to Fernandez' flush draw and gutshot with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. The turn was the {10-Spades} and the river was the {7-Hearts}, completing the flush and giving Fernandez the double up.
