Darius Studdard doubles through Phil Laak
Darius Studdard doubles through Phil Laak

Hand #1: Ryan Schmidt raised to 55,000 and both Brant Hale and Michael Drummond made the call from the blinds to see a {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop.

Drummond bet out 90,000 and Schmidt and Hale quickly folded.

Hand #2: The action folded to Brant Hale on the button, and he raised to 56,000 to win the blinds.

Hand #3: The action folded to Michael Drummond and his 62,000-chip button raise collected him the blinds.

Hand #4: Brant Hale opened to 56,000 and Michael Drummond, Kory Kilpatrick, Phil Laak and Darius Studdard called to see a {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop.

Laak checked and Studdard bet out 220,000 with Kilpatrick making the call before Laak announced a bet of pot amounting to 1.16 million. Studdard called all in for 571,000 and Kilpatrick tank-folded.

Laak: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Studdard: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The turn of the {2-Spades} didn't hit Studdard's draw, but the {7-Diamonds} on the river did as Studdard doubled through.
