Cody Loses a Small One

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Action folded to Jake Cody on the button and he put in a raise to 200. The player in the small blind made the call, the big folded, and it was heads-up action to the {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Spades} flop. The small blind checked, Cody continued for 250, and his opponent called. Both players then checked the {7-Diamonds} turn.

When the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river, the small blind led out for 700 and Cody quickly called. The small blind rolled over {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for two pair, and it was good as Cody, who is playing his first WSOP Main Event since becoming a father, sent his cards to the muck.
