Friedlander Takes From Alvarado

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Rick Alvarado raised to 12,000 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Marcos Antunes on the button and Gary Friedlander in the big blind.

They all checked through the {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} on the flop to the {9-Clubs} on the turn. Friedlander bet 18,000 and both Alvarado and Antunes called.

The river completed the board with the {5-Clubs}, Friedlander checked, Alvarado bet 42,000. Antunes folded and Friedlander called after a minute or so. Alvarado showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for the flopped two pair with the ten-kicker but was beat by Friedlander who held {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the same two pair but with the higher ace-kicker.
