Sammer Keeps His Composure in a Massive Pot
There were five players that saw a flop of and the action checked around to Charles Wiper on the button. Wiper pushed in a bet of 150,000 and Sammer check-raised to 430,000 from the small blind. The other players in the hand all quickly folded and Wiper instantly made the call.
The paired the board on the turn and both players checked. The landed on the river, and as Wiper moved his face closer to Sammer, staring at him intensely throughout the hand, Sammer tossed in a chip and announced all in. Wiper asked for a count and leaped out of his seat, needing to stand to make a decision and break the stare. The all-in was for 807,000 and Wiper called.
Sammer rolled over for a full house and Wiper nearly ripped his cards in half. He was forced to show for a flush but the result was a full double-up for Sammer and Wiper was left with around 140,000 chips.
