Chris Amaral Eliminated in 24th Place ($14,959)

Level 17 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Chris Amaral
Chris Amaral

Within two hands, the stack of Chris Amaral has been reduced to zero and he has become the 24th place finisher.

In the first hand, a three-way three-bet pot headed to the {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop and Ville Haavisto checked in the big blind. Amaral bet, Robert Slezak raised in the cutoff and Haavisto called, as did Amaral. On the {4-Hearts} turn, action checked to Slezak and he bet, once again both opponents called.

The {9-Clubs} came on the river and Haavisto checked, as did Amaral. Slezak bet and Haavisto tank-folded with three big bets behind. Amaral tank-calleed and was shown the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} for the nut flush. Amaral mucked {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-} for the nut straight and dropped to very few chips.

Those last few chips went in preflop the next hand with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Nick Guagenti looked him up with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}. The board came {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and the deuces held up for Guagenti. Amaral had no qualifying low and hit the rail.
