Sopko Doubles Through Gray

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Michael Sopko
Michael Sopko

Michael Sopko: {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} / {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
Robert Gray: {a-Spades}{3-Spades} / {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades} / {x-}

Robert Gray brought it in, and Michael Sopko completed. Gray called.

On fourth street, Sopko and Gray bet and raised until Sopko had his last 310,000 in the middle. Sopko was ahead with a pair of queens, but Gray had four pieces to a low.

By seventh street, Sopko had locked up the high with two pair, while Gray could only hope to get half with a low card after an egregiously bad sixth and seventh street. Gray drew the {3-Hearts} to pair, and Sopko doubled.
