Halpern and Kefaliakos Fall to Deutsch

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Alexander Deutsch
Alexander Deutsch

Nicholas Kefaliakos opened to 105,000 from early position and David Halpern called in middle position. Alexander Deutsch was in the big blind when he announced pot and pushed in 435,000.

Kefaliakos called the bet and Halpern pushed in his total stack of 415,000. The flop came down {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Deutsch moved all in and Kefaliakos called for his remaining 35,000, players turned over their hands.

Kefaliakos turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} for ace-high, Halpern tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for top pair and a straight draw. Deutsch showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, giving him two pair and the current best hand.

The dealer burned and turned a {7-Diamonds} and Deutsch now filled up. An {8-Hearts} river card changed nothing as Deutsch had his opponents drawing dead and scooped in the pot with his full house, eliminating two opponents.
