Kyle Montgomery Eliminated in 5th Place ($232,680)

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Kyle Montgomery
Kyle Montgomery

Out of the small blind, Kyle Montgomery raised the pot and James Park three-bet the pot to 2,700,000. Montgomery moved all in for 3,300,000 and Park called.

Kyle Montgomery: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
James Park: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

The {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop was a bad one for Montgomery, as he needed running outs. One of them was the {10-Spades} turn, giving Montgomery a gutshot straight draw. However, the {10-Hearts} river bricked off and Montgomery had to settle for 5th place and a payday of $232,680.

Small Pot for Feldman

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Joel Feldman
Joel Feldman

Jeremy Ausmus limped the cutoff and Joel Feldman filled up from the small blind while Kyle Montgomery in the big blind checked his option. The three-way flop of {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} was checked through and Feldman bet the {10-Hearts} turn for 400,000. Montgomery released his cards into the muck and Ausmus did so shortly after.

Vital Pot for Park

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
James Park
James Park

James Park opened to 600,000 from the cutoff and he was called by chip leader Joel Feldman in the big blind. The flop brought {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and a check from Feldman, Park checked back and they headed to the {2-Spades} turn. Again no betting action took place and the {q-Diamonds} on the river saw Feldman lead for 375,000.

Park reluctantly called and dragged in the pot with {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, the cards of Feldman were not shown on the screens.

Feldman Takes the Lead With Aggression

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Joel Feldman
Joel Feldman

Joel Feldman opened to 1,000,000 from the cutoff and Jeremy Ausmus called in the big blind, which created a pot of 2,150,000 to the {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Ausmus checked and Feldman bet small, making it 450,000 to go, and picking up a call from Ausmus.

After the {j-Diamonds} turn, Ausmus checked once more and Feldman fired a second barrel worth 650,000. That ended up winning the hand right there.

Back to Small Pots

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante

Dash Dudley limped the small blind and Joel Feldman checked in the big blind. Both players checked through the {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and {2-Clubs} turn. On the {10-Diamonds} river no betting action took place and the pot was shipped to Feldman, who held the {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Kyle Montgomery limped his small blind and James Park checked to the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, which brought a bet of 300,000 by Montgomery. Park came along and they headed to the {8-Hearts} turn. Montgomery now bet the pot for 1,200,000 and Park folded.

Dash Dudley
Dash Dudley

Dash Dudley raised to 700,000 in the cutoff and Kyle Montgomery got his last 1,400,000 in from the small blind, which Dudley called.

Kyle Montgomery: {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Dash Dudley: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board came {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Montgomery flopped bottom set to double and get back into contention.

Three in a Row for Feldman

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Joel Feldman
Joel Feldman

Joel Feldman claimed the blinds two hands in a row and also raised the third consecutive hand to 800,000 first to act. Jeremy Ausmus came along from the small blind to see the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and both players opted to check. This brought the {k-Spades} on the turn and both players opted to check it down once more.

The {3-Spades} completed the board on the river and once Ausmus had checked, Feldman bet 350,000. A reluctant call by Ausmus followed and Feldman tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} as the winning hand to make it three in a row.

Dudley Takes From Montgomery

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Dash Dudley
Dash Dudley

Joel Feldman stole the blinds with a raise to 750,000 and up next, Jeremy Ausmus raised the pot out of the small blind to force a fold from Dash Dudley in the big blind.

Dudley raised the button to 800,000 and right into the big blind of Kyle Montgomery, who was the shortest stack on just eight big blinds at the time. Montgomery called and they checked a {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop. On the {9-Diamonds} turn, Montgomery checked once more and Dudley checked behind to see the {q-Clubs} on the river.

Montgomery checked once more and a bet of 875,000 did the trick for Dudley.

Eoghan O'Dea Eliminated in 6th Place ($169,173)

Level 33 : 150,000/300,000, 0 ante
Eoghan O Dea
Eoghan O Dea

In the very first hand after coming back from the break, Eoghan O'Dea raised the pot to 1,050,000 and Jeremy Ausmus three-bet the pot to 3,600,000 in the cutoff. O'Dea eventually stuck his stack in and Ausmus called for very few chips more.

Eoghan O'Dea: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Jeremy Ausmus: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop was a disaster for O'Dea, as his king would give Ausmus a straight and he was already in need of running cards to avoid the elimination. It was all over after the {7-Hearts} turn and he stood up, grabbed his belongings and shook hands with all remaining finalists while the meaningless {10-Hearts} came on the river.

O'Dea finished 6th in this very event two years ago and does so again in the 2019 edition, receiving $169,173 for his efforts.
