Day 2 of the $1,500 Omaha Mix Begins at 2 p.m.
Day 2 of Event #63: $1,500 Omaha Mix is just about ready to commence, with 228 Omaha grinders coming back to battle. Today��s restart begins at 2 p.m., with play scheduled for 10 one-hour levels, 15-minute breaks after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level of poker.
A total of 717 Day 1 entries registered to play the three-game mix of Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, Limit Omaha Hi-Lo and Big O, and the returning field will start play at Level 11, with the blinds at 300/600 for pot-limit games and limits at 1,200/2400 for limit games.
Aaron Henderson (138,600) comes back today as the tournament chip leader, followed by a trio of players who are coming off deep finishes and six-figure paydays in earlier events at the 2019 WSOP.
John Evans (130,400) took down the biggest cash of his career with a runner-up finish in the $1,500 8-Game Mix 6-Handed event for $109,553; Anatolii Zyrin was runner-up in the $1,500 No-Limit Shootout for $147,594; and Bart Hanson took fourth in the $1,500 Monster Stack for $344,079. Each of these players will be working toward adding another big finish in a $1,500 event to their resume as this event continues.
Other players in contention include WSOP bracelet winners like Ivo ��Chessmaster�� Donev (87,000), Todd Witteles (82,800), Luis Velador (80,600), 2013 Main Event Champion Ryan Riess (67,100), Andreas Klatt (63,700), Barry Greenstein (52,900), and last years�� defending champion in the event, Yueqi Zhu (30,800).
