Big Huni Loses Two in a Row
Jeff Gross opened to 800 in the hijack and was called by Chris Hunichen on his left. Victor Choupeaux three-bet to 3,000 on the button and both of the blinds folded. Gross also folded but Hunichen called to see a flop of .
Both players checked and the paired the board on the turn. Hunichen check-called a bet of 2,000 from Choupeaux and the completed the board. Hunichen checked again and Choupeaux fired out a bet of 4,200. Hunichen looked him up and Choupeaux tabled for the winner.
In the next hand, Hunichen raised and was called by James Romero on the button and the big blind. The flop fell and Hunichen continued for 1,300. Romero raised to 4,300 which got the big blind to fold but Hunichen called.
The turn was the and both players checked to the on the river. Hunichen checked again and Romero splashed in a bet of 11,300. Hunichen scratched his head as he wasn't pleased with the river.
"I should have just re-raised the flop," he grumbled. "So sick. I call," as he tossed in a couple of chips. Romero turned over for a flush while Hunichen flashed before mucking his cards.
