Lakemeier and "daidagii" Depart

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Jens Lakemeier eliminated
Jens Lakemeier eliminated

Jens "Tankanza" Lakemeier lost aces to aces when his opponent turned a straight.

Down to fewer than four bigs he jammed and was called by "KarilleMeni" in the small blind.

Gianluca "Tankanza" Speranza: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
"karilleMeni": {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop was as bad as it could get for Lakemeier and the {9-Diamonds} turn made things official, the {q-Hearts} river had become a formality.

"dagidagii" then raised the pot and "5cardPLO" three-bet the button. "Brahman33" jammed in the big blind and both shorter stacks called.

"dagidagii": {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
"5cardPLO": {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
"Brahman33": {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Board: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"5cardPLO" hit the nut flush and knocked out "dagidagii".

And moments later, "Mclovin86" and "RudleyFudley" were also gone to reduce the field to 25 players.

Only Five Tables Remain

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Philip Long eliminated
Philip Long eliminated

As former middle stacks and big stacks were sent to the rail, the field was cut down to the last five tables with Paul Teoh and Leon Tsoukernik in the lead.

Philip "Respect" Long" was also among the top stacks a few hours earlier but ran out of steam in a showdown against "5cardPLO".

Long had flopped a wrap with {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} on {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} as "5cardPLO" tabled {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a set and flushdraw. The {5-Spades} turn provided the straight but the {10-Clubs} river sent Long to the rail.

Teoh In the Lead; Ribeiro Busts and Vieira Doubles

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Tomas Ribeiro eliminated by sws79
Tomas Ribeiro eliminated by sws79

"Mangudai" of Austria became the next player to fork over his chips to Paul Teoh when they held the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Teoh flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

"Mangudai" hit a teasing flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} but the {2-Spades} turn and {3-Hearts} river were not what they were looking for.

Tomas Ribeiro then clashed with "sws79" and was at risk preflop for fewer than 20 blinds.

Tomas Ribeiro: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
"sws79": {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}

As the board came {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, Ribeiro was drawing dead on the turn.

"sws79" held onto the chips for just a brief moment before forfeiting a portion to Joao Vieira. It went in after the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop was dealt with Vieira at risk holding the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw. "sws79" tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the overpair but the {10-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river kept Vieira in the game.

Down to Six Tables

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

In the blink of an eye, another four players ran out of chips to suddenly reduce the field to the last six tables.

Among them were two players with a Mexican flag as "RudleyFudley" flopped the nuts and rivered a superior full house with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} on a board of {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. The victim was either "Macallan18" or "Giggle" as the table closed immediately after.

"StuckMyAce" was more fortunate as they got it in with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} only for Liviu Ignat to turn over {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} board provided the jack-high straight eventually.

Sammartino From Hero To Zero

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Dario Sammartino eliminated by Craig Timmis
Dario Sammartino eliminated by Craig Timmis

Dario Sammartino three-bet jammed his short stack into the raise of "Lampard10" who quickly called.

Dario Sammartino: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
"Lampard10": {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The board came {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Sammartino doubled with the nutflush.

However, right after Sammartino three-bet the pot to 78,000 out of the big blind and initial raiser Craig Timmis called.

Sammartino ripped it in for 124,976 with the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} when the flop fell {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Timmis called with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a gutshot. While the {6-Diamonds} turn bricked, the {9-Clubs} river did not as Sammartino bowed out.

Ami Barer fell short right after and he was followed by "Minthon" and Maksim "IReadB00ks" Pisarenko, among others.
