The latest mixed game of the 2020 GGPoker World Series of Poker Online Bracelet Events has determined a champion and it took more than 12 and a half hours to whittle down a field of 1,281 entries to a winner in Event #66: $800 Pot Limit Omaha. When all was done and dusted in the morning hours in Europe, it was Toby "shinerrr" Joyce that claimed the lion's share of the $973,560 prize pool after defeating Mark "Beanboozled" Herm in heads-up.

Joyce had racked up 24 WSOP cashes in Las Vegas, in Europe and on the Circuit. The Irishman from Galway then cashed in ten tournaments during the current festival on the GGNetwork thus far including four PLO events, and the deepest run was a 13th place in Event #35: $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship. However, after a short-lived heads-up with Herm, Joyce has followed into the footsteps of fellow countryman Eoghan O'Dea who won his maiden bracelet in Event #51: $400 Pot Limit Omaha.

For much of the final table it seemed as if it was Herm's tournament to lose as he entered with the chip lead and dominated the action with sheer relentless aggression. Joyce was patiently waiting to ladder up with a shorter stack and suddenly burst into action in three-handed play when he doubled twice through Herm. He then knocked out Maksim "MAX FOMIN" Fomin and the chips went flying after that with the fortune on the side of Joyce.

No Cash for Negreanu

A six-handed PLO format with two reentries allowed promised action and delivered on that promise. Once late registration had closed, a 1,281-player field had gathered for a prize pool just shy of $1M. GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu, who's been a cashing machine this series, failed to reach the money stages this time and dropped three bullets, losing his final one at the hands of Joseph "jellopy77" Cheong.

Negreanu found himself in good companionship as Ali Imsirovic and Chris Brewer would join him on the rail. Next to the event, Imsirovic and Brewer also dabbled in the monster $500/$1,000 cash game that's been running, with more on that later today on PokerNews. Felipe Ramos, Andrew Neeme, and Juha Helppi also didn't note any cashes.

Once the bubble had burst, eliminations started flying in at a rapid pace with the likes of Chris Moorman, Ryan Riess, Pete Chen, Aaron Van Blarcum, Brian Rast, Mark Radoja, Yuri Dzivielevski, and Alyssa "xAlyssaTTV" MacDonald all adding another WSOP cash to their resum.

Final Table Action

At the final table, it was Herm kicking it off with a sizable chip lead, ahead of Maksim "MAX FOMIN" Fomin and Jonas "deucesup" Kronwitter. After the eliminations of Wilder "wilder brito" Brito and Rahul "sabertooth35" Guptam the seven remaining players played a full hour without any eliminations before Grzegorz "CUatRhinosLV" Derkowski headed to the rail.

While favored preflop with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} against Fomin's {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}, the latter found a deuce on the flop to leave the field with six. Fomin also eliminated Giorgiy "NINASKH" Skhulukhiya as an underdog next, hitting two pair against aces, then eliminated Nazarenko to make it three scalps in a row.

Herm then took out Kronwitter with aces against kings before Fomin's run halted against Joyce. It was a traditional PLO action pot, with Fomin getting {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} in against Joyce's {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} on a {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board. Fomin's lead wasn't challenged after the {7-Hearts} turn, but the {9-Hearts} river got Joyce there with trips to set up the showdown against Herm.

Heads-up lasted just twenty minutes as the chips flew in the middle with Herm's {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} against Joyce's {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Joyce was a minor favorite and flopped well on {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to take a bigger lead. The {q-Clubs} on the turn filled him up, making the {2-Clubs} merely one for the statistics. The well-known American grinder will have to wait longer for his WSOP gold, while Joyce captured Ireland's second bracelet of the series.

Mark "Beanboozled" Herm Eliminated in 2nd Place ($109,909)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 0 ante

And just like that the chips went flying as Toby "shinerrr" Joyce clicked it up to 2.4 million and Mark "Beanboozled" Herm then reraised the pot to 7.2 million. Joyce ripped it in and Herm called for a pot of 23.15 million.

Mark "Beanboozled" Herm: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Toby "shinerrr" Joyce: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Joyce flopped top two pair on {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} while Herm was hoping for an eight or a ten. Instead, all that hope was gone by the time the {q-Clubs} turn fell as Joyce had a deadlock on the hand. A meaningless {2-Clubs} appeared on the river and Herm had to settle for second place and $109,908.88.

Two-to-One Lead for Joyce

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 0 ante

Toby "shinerrr" Joyce min-raised the button and Mark "Beanboozled" Herm called out of the big blind. Herm this time opted for a check-raise to 2,084,924 and Joyce called on a {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop.

Herm bet the {k-Spades} turn for 1,987,644 to pick up a call and checked the {j-Hearts} river, as did Joyce.

Herm turned over {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} but Joyce had the best of it with the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} for aces and kings.

Joyce Establishes a Lead

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 0 ante

The new level kicked off with a raise to 824,424 by Mark "Beanboozled" Herm and Toby "shinerrr" Joyce three-bet the pot to nearly 2.5 million, which Herm called. Joyce bet the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop for 3,264,720 into 4,946,544 and that won the pot right there.

Level 41 : 160,000/320,000, 0 ante

Mark "Beanboozled" Herm min-raised to 640,000 and Toby "shinerrr" Joyce called. They checked the {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and {8-Diamonds} turn. Joyce bet the {j-Spades} river for 960,000 and Herm called with {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a flush. However, Joyce had {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for the superior flush.

Joyce Recovers for a While

Level 41 : 160,000/320,000, 0 ante

Toby "shinerrr" Joyce raised to 640,000 and was called by Mark "Beanboozled" Herm. Herm bet the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop for 424,775 and Joyce raised to 1,489,550. The same action repeated on the 56d] turn for805,950 and 2,091,900 respectively.

Herm then bet the {k-Hearts} river for just 450,420 and Joyce flat-called with the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} to scoop the pot versus {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

But as Joyce won the pot of nearly 9.3 million, it was Herm that won most other pots after that as he kept a solid lead.

Herm Jams Up the Stack

Level 41 : 160,000/320,000, 0 ante

Both wasted very little time and came out swinging in this heads-up match. The first bigger three-bet pot was in the fourth hand of the duel and Mark "Beanboozled" Herm won as many hands to get back into a comfortable lead.

Toby "shinerrr" Joyce opened to 704,000 and called a raise to 2.112 million. Herm then bet all the way for 1,485,903 on the {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, 1,204,920 on the {5-Spades} turn and jammed the {2-Clubs} river for 9.6 million.

Joyce called the first two barrels and folded to the shove.

Maksim "MAX FOMIN" Fomin Eliminated in 3rd Place ($79,761)

Level 41 : 160,000/320,000, 0 ante

Maksim "MAX FOMIN" Fomin raised to 736,000 first to act and was called by Toby "shinerrr" Joyce in the big blind. On a flop of {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Joyce check-raised to 5.344 million and Fomin called all-in for less than that.

Maksim "MAX FOMIN" Fomim: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Toby "shinerrr" Joyce: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Fomin had flopped two pair and a gutshot while Joyce had middle pair and the flushdraw. The {7-Hearts} turn changed nothing whatsoever but Joyce got there thanks to the {9-Hearts} river. Fomin was eliminated in 3rd place and takes home $79,760.85.
