On Friday night, the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Series Event #31: $1,000 NLH Championship attracted 1,455 players who rebought 671 times. The 2,126-entry field resulted in a $2,019,700 prize pool (the largest out of all 31 events) and after nearly 12 hours of play, Nahrain 2Rivers Tamero emerged victorious to capture the bracelet and $310,831.83 first-place prize.

Tamero has amassed over $158,000 in lifetime live tournament earnings, of which just a small $3,428 cash came from the WSOP for a 315th-place finish in the 2018 WSOP $888 Crazy Eights event.

9Kevin SpecialK333 Calenzo$25,650

After Max Mawkswell Young bubbled the tournament in 331st place, the elimination came at a steady pace. Among those to make the money but fall short of the final table was Allen chainsaw Kessler (262nd - $1,817.73), Joe fanofdapoker McKeehen (215th - $1,817.73), Phil Lumestackin Hellmuth (133rd - $2,423.64), Tony Panoramic Dunst (106th - $2,625.61), Kathy Luckygal Liebert (100th - $2,625.61), Matt berkey11_s4y Berkey (56th - $4,645.31), Chelsea "wubalubadubb" Bowden (55th - $4,645.31), Jamie DanBilzerian Kerstetter (37th - $6,463.04), Ryan protential Laplante (30th - $7,876.83), and final table bubble boy David bewater Goodman (10th - $19,995.03).

The final table kicked off with a flurry of eliminations all in a 15-minute span. First, it was Kevin SpecialK333 Calenzo exiting in ninth after getting it in on the flop with an open-ended straight draw and missing against the ace-high of Tamero, and then Michael merlot Bailey followed him out the door losing with ace-nine all in preflop against the ace-ten of Andrew WATCHGUY42 Lichtenberger.

Soon after, Lichtenberger notched another knockout when Arian 4632647 Stolt jammed with ten-nine suited and Lucky Chewy held with ace-nine. From there, Greg Bubblealot Wish lost a race with pocket fives against Norman abnormality Michaleks king-eight after the latter flopped two pair.

Edan goatplaya Sucov then lost jack-ten to the ace-eight of Tamero to exit in fifth place, while Brian "foxxx" Kirchhoff failed to get lucky with ace-six against Michaleks ace-queen all in preflop. Lichtenberger the three-bet jammed with ace-five only to get called by Michalek, who held with pocket eights.

Norman Michalek
Norman \"abnormality\" Michalek

That allowed Michalek to take 30.5 million into heads-up play against Tamero, who began with 12 million. However, Tamero was able to pick off two bluffs to take the chip lead and then closed things out shortly thereafter when Michalek attempted a failed river bluff.

That wraps up our live updates from the 2020 WSOP bracelet events on WSOP.com, but theres still more than a month of WSOP action on GGPoker. PokerNews will be offering coverage of each event, which you can follow here.

Norman Michalek

Nahrain 2Rivers Tamero raised to 1,000,000 and Norman "abnormality" Michalek called to see a {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop appear.

Michalek check-raised to 2,500,000 after Tamero continued for 1,000,000 and was called.

Once the {q-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, Michalek led out for 2,750,000 and Tamero called to see the {10-Spades} complete the board on the river.

Michalek moved all in for 5,677,408, Tamero snap-called, and both players tabled their hands.

Michalek rolled over {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for air while Tamero turned over {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to win the hand and just like that, after three failed bluffs, Michalek was eliminated in second place.

Below is a look at one of the bluff hands Tamero was able to pick off.

Norman "abnormality" Michalek raised the button to 1,000,000 and then called when Andrew "WATCHGUY42" Lichtenberger three-bet all in for 8,214,914 from the big blind.

Norman "abnormality" Michalek: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Andrew "WATCHGUY42" Lichtenberger: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Lichtenberger was looking for some help, but he was left wanting as the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to give Michalek nines full of eights.

Brian "foxxx" Kirchhoff Eliminated in 4th Place ($103,206.67)

Level 43 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Brian "foxxx" Kirchhoff moved all in for 5,227,392 and Norman "abnormality" Michalek isolated by jamming from the small blind.

Brian "foxxx" Kirchhoff: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Norman "abnormality" Michalek: {q-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Kirchoff was dominated and it got worse when the {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop paired Michalek. The {8-Spades} turn left Kirchoff drawing dead and he exited in fourth place after the {6-Diamonds} was run out on the river.

Edan "goatplaya" Sucov Eliminated in 5th Place ($76,748.60)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 40,000 ante

Edan "goatplaya" Sucov raised all in for 3,214,094 from the button and Nahrain 2Rivers Tamero called from the big blind.

Nahrain 2Rivers Tamero: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Edan "goatplaya" Sucov: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop paired Tamero ace but "goatplaya" also picked up flush and straight draws.

Unfortunately for Sucov, neither the {5-Spades} turn nor the {9-Hearts} river were cards they wanted to see and they were eliminated in fifth place.

Greg "Bubblealot" Wish Eliminated in 6th Place ($57,561.45)

Level 42 : 200,000/400,000, 40,000 ante

Norman "abnormality" Michalek raised to 800,000 from under the gun and then called Greg "Bubblealot" Wish's 1,459,960 three-bet jam from the next seat over.

Greg "Bubblealot" Wish: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Norman "abnormality" Michalek: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}

Wish was ahead with their made hand until the {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop appeared pairing Michalek's king.

The {j-Spades} turn was no help to Wish nor was the {j-Clubs} that followed on the river ending his tournament in sixth place.
