Victor Shih Eliminated in 23rd Place ($7,275)

Level 13 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Victor Shih raised to 80,000 from under-the-gun and Koveh Waysei defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Waysei checked to Shih who continued for 55,000. Waysei pushed out a check-raise and Shih called.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Waysei announced all in. Shih had around 525,000 chips remaining and eventually made the call to put himself at risk. Waysei held {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair but Shih turned the better two pair with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

However, the river was the {q-Diamonds} and Waysei improved to a full house to eliminate Shih at the start of Day 2.
