Kim and Gavasci Double Up

Level 39 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

At one table, Eric Kim pushed all in for 9,800,000 in the cutoff and Jeffrey Stellwagon called from the big blind. Kim showed {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} while Stellwagon had two over cards with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The board ran out {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Kim held on for the double up.

Next door, Vincas Tamasauskas opened to 3,800,000 from under the gun. Robert Mather and Martin Gavasci called from the blinds. The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and the action checked to Tamasauskas who continued for 2,200,000. Mather folded but Gavasci jammed all in for 8,300,000. Tamasauskas asked for a count and then called.

Gavasci flipped over {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} while Tamasauskas had one over card with {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} on the river could not improve Tamasauskas as he also sent chips across the table.
