Jones Flops Top Pair

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

After a couple of limps, Kyle Frey raised to 1,800, and both the small blind and Lance Jones called in the big blind before one of the limpers called.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the action checked through to the {3-Diamonds} turn. The small blind checked again and Jones fired out a bet of 3,000. Only the small blind made the call.

The {3-Spades} hit the river and once checked to Jones fired again for 3,000. The small blind called and showed {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, while Jones tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for top pair on the flop to scoop the pot.
