Ausmus Avoids Disaster

Ausmus
Ausmus

Blinds: 1,400/2,800/400

Jonathan "sugarj" Lessin opened to 5,600 from under the gun and Jeremy "ChipChecka" Ausmus three-bet shoved a stack of 36,260 from the big blind. Lessin called with a bigger stack.

Jeremy "ChipChecka" Ausmus: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Jonathan "sugarj" Lessin: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Ausmus, who won his fifth bracelet last week in Event #7: $365 NLH had his opponent dominated, but the flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} to give Lessin a straight and have Ausmus drawing thin.

Miraculously, the board then finished out {10-Spades}{9-Spades} to give both players a queen-high straight and save the recent bracelet winner from being eliminated in brutal fashion.
