Lonis Has Kicker Problems

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Jesse Lonis raised from middle position and got calls from both blinds, including Tina Tateossian in the small blind.

All three players checked the {7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop before the {a-Clubs} fell on the turn. The big blind bet and both Lonis and Tateossian called.

The river came the {6-Clubs} and was checked through. "Ace," Lonis announced, but Tateossian turned over {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of aces with a higher kicker. Lonis and the big blind mucked, while Tateossian went back to eating her salad after gathering in her new chips.
