Geary's Slow Start Continues

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Justin Geary
Justin Geary

After tearing through Day 1 to emerge as the chipleader, Justin Geary has had a considerably slower start to Day 2. Action folded to Geary in the cutoff who raised. The button and small blind got out of the way but Adam Friedman defended out of the big blind.

On the first draw both players took two cards. Friedman checked to Geary, who checked back.

The next draw saw both players take two cards for a second time and this time Friedman led into Geary who decided to flat.

Friedman took just one card on the final draw while Geary stood pat. Following the draw, Friedman fired off another bet and was quickly called by Geary. Friedman showed down {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, a hand that Geary could not beat, sending him further down the chip counts.
