Newton Folds to Another Dzivielevski Shove

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 150,000 ante

Action folded to Thomas Newton in the small blind and he raised to 420,000. Yuri Dzivielevski in the big blind paused for a moment before announcing he was all in for around 2,500,000.

Newton folded, claiming he only raised that much because he didn't see how many blue 100,000 chips Dzivielevski had behind.

Po Gets Some From Newton

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 150,000 ante

Kenneth Po raised to 225,000 from under the gun and Thomas Newton called in the small blind. Both players took one.

Newton led out for 250,000 and Po, after some deliberation, called. "Ten," Newton announced, but Po turned over {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} to win the pot.

The next hand, Newton lost some more when he raised to 225,000 and Yuri Dzivielevski re-raised all in. "The Yuri special," Newton said as he folded.

Newton Still Setting the Pace

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 150,000 ante

Thomas Newton raised to 175,000 from the button and Kenneth Po called from the big blind. Both players drew one. After the draw, both players checked and Po turned over {10-}{9-}{8-}{4-}{3-} to take the pot while Newton threw the losing hand away.

A few hands later, Newton raised to 225,000 from under the gun and Roland Israelashvili called from the big blind. Israelashvili stood pat and Newton drew one. After the draw, Israelashvili check-folded when Newton fired 300,000.

Players Getting Shove-Happy

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 120,000 ante

In the last orbit, both Thomas Newton and Yuri Dzivielevski won pots by shoving all in from the small blind and getting the big blind to fold.

Dzivielevski also three-bet an open from Newton to 425,000, and Newton quickly folded. The next hand, Kenneth Po moved all in for around 800,000 but got no callers.

There are still few draws or showdowns to be had, but pre-draw action is getting more aggressive.

Newton Takes with Jack-Ten

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 120,000 ante

Maxx Coleman rised to 175,000 from the button and Thomas Newton called from the big blind. Newton drew one and Coleman took two.

After the draw, Newton bet 125,000 and turned over {j-}{10-}{6-}{5-}{4-} after Coleman called. The jack-ten was good enough for Newton to take the pot and Coleman served the losing hand into the muck.

Draws Few and Far Between

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 120,000 ante

Kenneth Po raised to 200,000 from the cutoff before Maxx Coleman reraised to 600,000 on the button.

Po spent a few minutes in the tank, re-checking his cards and counting out his chips, before he decided to fold.

The next hand, Coleman came in with a raise to 175,000 before folding to an all-in shove by Roland Israelashvili.

Action has slowed considerably since Po's double-up, with no pot advancing to the draw for a significant part of this level.

Dzivielevski Shoves First Hand Back

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 120,000 ante

On the first hand after dinner break, Roland Israelashvili raised to 175,000 from the button and Yuri Dzivielevski called from the big blind. Both players took one.

After the draw, Dzivielevski slowly rearranged his chips and pushed them all in the middle, a bet totaling 1,170,000. Israelashvili asked for a count and started playing with his chips, re-stacking them and cutting out the amount necessary to call.

The WSOP cash king spent nearly five minutes in the tank before he decided to fold as Dzivielevski's Brazilian rail serenaded him with chants of "Vamos."
