Burton Catches Heat

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alexander Burton shoved from late position and was called by Eric Rivera out of the small blind.

Alexander Burton: {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Eric Rivera: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Burton was behind and would need help to survive. That help came on the {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and the {9-Clubs} turn kept Burton ahead. The {j-Diamonds} improved Burton to a full house as he exclaimed, "That is the best thing I've seen!".

The very next hand Burton found himself all in again, this time against Phong Nguyen.

Alexander Burton: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Phong Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

This time Burton had his opponent dominated and after a clean runout of {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts} he went from being one of the shortest stacks in the room to tournament average in the span of a couple hands.

"Can we go for the hatrick?" Burton wondered aloud. It was not to be, however, as he folded his next hand preflop.
