Sarnoff Makes a Straight Flush

Level 37 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Biagio Morciano raised to 1,600,000 in the cutoff and was called by Eric Smidinger on the button and Ben Sarnoff in the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Smidinger who bet 1,600,000. Sarnoff called and Morciano got out of the way.

The {2-Clubs} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Sarnoff checked again and Smidinger quickly checked back. Sarnoff showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a straight flush and Smidinger was forced to concede.

"I was hoping you had the ace," Sarnoff said to Smidinger.
