Coming in to today, Acain's largest tournament score was for $30,000 in the $400 No Limit Hold'em MonsterStack (Event #68) In the DeepStack Championship Poker Series II, Las Vegas in 2021.

Action of the Day

Acain started the day fourth in chips but struck lightening early on as he chipped up in a multi-way pot against Isidro Martinez and Christian Taylor. He then continued his run up the leaderboard as he eliminated Sridhar Sangannagari in 11th, Yavine Brewer in 10th and Isidro Martinez in ninth propelling his stack to the chip lead.

Taylor regained his lead when they were down to three-handed, but Acain soon turned the tables on Taylor as he won a massive flip for his tournament life with ace-jack with one diamond against king-ten on a ten-high all diamond board.

The action picked up when Christian Taylor opened the small big to 32,000,000. Henry Acain three-bet to 119,000,000.

"I like my hand this time" Taylor said before making the call.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Taylor checked to Acain who shoved all-in for 227,000,000 which was quickly called by Taylor and the hands were revealed.

Henry Acain: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Christian Taylor: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

It was virtually a flip when Taylor made top pair but Acain had two overs and the nut flush draw.

The turn {9-Diamonds} sealed the deal for Acain as Taylor was now drawing dead. The {j-Clubs} completed the board, skyrocketing Acain's stack to roughly 75% of the chips in play.
