Prianos Put In Tough Spot

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Ashley Frank opened to 1,000 from early position and was called by Ying Zhao in middle position as well as Marios Prianos on the button.

Frank checked on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Zhao led out for 1,600. Prianos made the call while Frank folded to send the two players to the turn.

Zhao continued her aggression on the {k-Hearts} turn, firing off 9,600. Prianos responded with a raise to 9,600 only to be met with all in shove for 31,300 from Zhao. The jam sent Prianos into the tank. He pondered over his decision for quite some time, asking the dealer to count out the shove before calculating how many chips he would have left if he called and was wrong. Ultimately he did commit calling chips to put Zhao at risk.

Ying Zhao: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Marios Prianos: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}

Both players had made two pair but Zhao's was better, putting her in a good position to get the full double. The {4-Clubs} river changed nothing, bringing Zhao back up above starting stack while putting a large dent in Prianos' stack.
